Sakura setup sheets

Here (Sakura_setup_2013.09.13) is my first uploaded setup sheet for the Sakura Zero. Thus far I have played a little with springs, swaybars, chassis flex, droop, and the front roll center. While I think I’ve made some progress in those areas, most of my work thus far has been thwarted by an overly wide rear track – it is just so unstable! The attached sheet represents what I will try when I install the narrow rear blocks (to reduce the rear track).

Race bodies over the years

The whole 1/10th scale racing thing started for me in 2007 when I decided to get a TT01 for drifting around the parking lot under my building. Mine came with a RX-7 FD body. A mate acquired a TA03 with a Ferrari body and we started racing each other at the Kambah track. Eventually we decided to check out one of the ACTMCRC club meets. I got hooked and started racing their regularly. Shortly thereafter I got myself a HB Cyclone (aka the “Cyclone Black”, aka the “purple XRay eater”). RC Setup Guides

If you’ve read any of my recent posts you’ll know I recently started racing at the Logan RC club. At the first couple of meets I ran a silver can in their 21.5 class, and last time I ran 17.5. Outdoor/rubber racing is totally new to me, as is the Sakura Zero S car, as is the speed of 17.5, and my usual go-to car setup just isn’t working.
